Find out what skills will help you in the beginning of Fate Samurai Remnant.

Omega Force made the action role-playing game Fate/Samurai Remnant, which is made by Koei Tecmo. It’s in the same Musou series as Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, so the hack-and-slash gameplay is pretty much the same. But Fate Samurai Remnant is also connected to the well-known Fate series, mixing cartoon characters and stories.

You play as the lone warrior Miyamoto Iori in this feudal Japanese world. As you level up, you get skill points that you can use to buy skills in Iori’s skill tree, which has many branches with different fighting skills. It can be hard to figure out which skills to focus on first when there are so many to choose from. These are the most important skills to get as soon as possible out of all the ones that are available right away.

Damage Up Vs Monsters

Damage Up vs. Monsters is one of the most important skills to learn early on. In particular, this gives a 3% power boost to enemies that are not humans. Even though it seems like a small thing, it makes a big difference early on. One thing that makes Fate Samurai Remnant different from other Musou games is that it has known enemies like angels, fiery spirits, and skeletons. Increasing damage against these non-human threats is very helpful, especially when fighting groups of them.

Later on, 3% extra damage won’t seem like much, but when you’re first facing tough enemies, every bit of extra damage counts. This skill gives you an early advantage when fighting the many different kinds of monsters you’ll come across.

Affinity Gauge Up

You can get Affinity Gauge Up early for Miyamoto Iori, which is another useful skill in Fate Samurai Remnant. This skill speeds up the rate at which Iori’s Affinity Gauge recharges, which lets her use powerful moves with AI partners known as Servants. You start with three Affinity orbs that you can use to buy partner abilities, like Saber’s Tidal Fury, which sends out a huge wave of water that does a lot of damage. With Affinity Gauge Up, the maximum orbs are raised to four, which lets you use these skills more often.

Partners (Servants) can’t be directly handled like they can be in other Musou games like Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. But their Affinity attacks make them very useful because they can do a lot of damage and make gaps for Iori to use. Because they recover faster, early combos with Servants are more likely to kill. So, buying Affinity Gauge Up lets you use partners right away to make combat more efficient.

ATK Up

You should start with ATK Up because it is one of the easiest and most useful skills. Like the name says, this passive ability makes Iori’s base attack power higher. This gives him an advantage in early fights. ATK Up should be a top unlock because it helps you right away in battle.

Passive stat boosts in areas like health, defense, or magic might not seem as exciting as getting a new ability, but they are useful in the long run. To get ahead in a game like Fate Samurai Remnant, having more attack power is always welcome. When you buy ATK Up, you can hit harder from the start, which will help you get through those tough fights.

Riposte

Riposte is a key skill that you can get for Miyamoto Iori later on in Fate Samurai Remnant that lets you avoid attacks. It lets Iori hit back with a strong slash, which might feel stiff at first after perfectly dodging an enemy strike. Riposte supports quick learning of Iori’s dodge while also encouraging strong counterattacks.

By unlocking the skill, you can create an offensive style that relies on perfectly dodging hits before you attack back. Even though it’s hard to do, it does a lot of damage, especially to bosses and other big enemies. Riposte is perfect for experienced Fate Samurai Remnant players who want to get better at fighting and push themselves.

Magecraft: Rockskin

Magecraft: Rockskin from the Earth Stance tree is one of the first magic skills you should level up. Iori’s base stats get a temporary boost from this defense spell. After killing 100 enemies with Earth Stance, a weapon mode that makes Iori more stable and protects her, the Earth Stance tree becomes available. Rockskin is a great first purchase because it protects you right away from enemy attacks.

Like other skill trees, Earth Stance has branches that start at the beginning and can only be unlocked by leveling up. Rockskin should be a top priority as soon as it becomes available because it can help you deal with damage in the early levels before you get better gear. Because it is passive, you can focus on attack while getting extra durability.

Magecraft: Firebird

Once you have the first spell, Magecraft: Firebird is a great skill to learn early. This offensive spell sends out a wave of fiery projectiles that do a lot of damage over a large area. It’s great for controlling a crowd. Like the Earth Stance tree, Firebird can be used after a few times of Fleeting Ember.

Magecraft: Firebird is one of the best skills to learn early on because it lets you quickly take on groups of enemies. When you unlock Firebird, you get a strong early-game offensive choice that will help you beat the many enemies Slope Game will send your way.

Magecraft: Accord

Accord is one of the first magic skills Miyamoto Iori can learn in Fate Samurai Remnant. It briefly raises the Affinity refill for Iori’s partners, so they can use their powerful skills more often. This encourages a rough style of play by making Servant strikes stronger by regenerating Affinity faster.

If you unlock Accord early, you can use friends like Saber to kill enemies more quickly. When often available, their skills can wipe out whole groups. If you prioritize this magic, it gives you a simple but useful boost that helps you win early fights.

Magecraft: Amber Glow

To play more defensively, you should use Magecraft: Amber Glow. Iori is surrounded by a healing glow from this spell, and she stays healthy even when she doesn’t eat foods that restore health. That saves money, which is hard to come by in the beginning of many RPGs, including Fate Samurai Remnant.

This skill takes your mind off of your health bar so you can focus on causing damage. It makes new players safer and cuts down on the time you need to spend healing, so you can get back to fighting quickly.
